When we bought our first home in 2012, we just went to a bank and spoke with their lender. It’s all we knew what to do. So when we bought our next home in 2019, we automatically began to do the same thing… until a few folks told us the benefits of using a broker instead. Around that same time, a friend of mine suggested I give Jad a call. And let me tell you, it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

When I engage a service provider, no matter the industry, I prepare myself with enough knowledge to ask informed questions. Although, sometimes, I ask elementary questions, just to see how well the representative can communicate a concept. If they can effectively explain simple concepts, I’ll have increased trust when the discussion surpasses my “armchair expert” level. That said, over the years, I’ve worked with a number of real estate professionals and my approach isn’t always received well. As I employ the Socratic Method to my inquiry, I eventually uncover undesirable traits (true nature) in the “professional” representative. As a professional, I expect integrity, responsiveness, follow through, consistency in messaging, patience, emotional intelligence, and, of course, industry knowledge. I’m sure I missed something, but you get the point; common sense customer service traits, at a heightened “professional” level. I am amazed how many “professionals” do not understand the golden rule. Many times, in my vetting process, I barely get past introductions, before I tease out / reveal someone’s true nature and conclude that they are not deserving of my voting dollars. They may be an exceptional Lawyer or an extremely knowledgeable television salesman but lacking patience and common courtesy, for the seemingly naive inquiry, is enough for me to pass. I tell you all of this as a precursor, to my experience with Jad Hamdan.

“Jad was the ultimate professional. I never once felt like he was pushing his own agenda by “selling” me a product. Instead, he took the time to outline the pros and cons of numerous scenarios… It was through this iterative process, that we finally concluded on a solution that made sense for my specific needs and timeline. The nature of my situation, required flexibility and adaptiveness. With no promise of payout, Jad maintained a patient and courteous cadence throughout. As we progressed through scenarios, I routinely backtracked and compared notes, and was always satisfied with Jad’s consistency. The few times Jad could not recollect a detail, he stated the fact and followed up after verifying. Once Jad and I had things ironed out, Jad and his team had everything ready to go in record time. Sometimes it’s the little things, but calling Jad was like catching up with an old friend… Instead of pretentiously proclaiming his own name and title and forcing me to navigate an awkward re-introduction, he set the tone for a friendly/candid conversation, by answering the phone with “Hello Jason!”. Like I said, it’s the little things; in customer service, it’s usually the little things that gain a customer for life.
